Chapter 52: So Good (part 2)

Every time Fu Yumian made the trending list and got torn apart by public opinion, it was always because of her.

Lu Qingzhuo had seen those negative comments. Most of them tore her down while dragging Fu Yumian into it. Some even said that as an Omega, Fu Yumian was going to bring down the centuries-old Fu Family legacy.

Every time she saw that kind of comment, Lu Qingzhuo would switch to a side account and fight back. But not long ago, she realized that instead of sneaking around with a side account, it was way more effective to fight back openly with her main.

“I’ve been seeing a lot of nasty stuff about you online lately—none of it good.”

Lu Qingzhuo was being honest. “You didn’t use to have such a bad public image. It only got worse after we went public. That’s why everyone’s suddenly bashing you.”

“That’s because they’re jealous. I’ve got such a beautiful and well-behaved Alpha.”

Fu Yumian hadn’t expected that Lu Qingzhuo was worried about this. As for those hateful comments, she really didn’t care. She’d weathered storms far worse over the years.

She’d never cared much about what the world thought. If she had, she would’ve been crushed by it all a long time ago.

“All right, don’t bother getting mad at them.” Fu Yumian stroked Lu Qingzhuo’s hair from top to bottom, leaning in to say, “Just the fact that you care already makes me happy.”

“It’s not the hate that bothers me… It’s you.” Lu Qingzhuo felt a bit shy admitting it, so she ended up being vague. “You’re such a good person—I can’t stand them insulting you.”

“You think I’m good? Good how?”

Fu Yumian just couldn’t go a day without teasing Lu Qingzhuo. She asked without thinking, making the little Alpha’s face flush red again.

Lu Qingzhuo cautiously asked, “Do I have to answer that?”

Fu Yumian nodded, her tone soft but firm. “Yes, you do.”

“Well, first, you’re really pretty. Extremely pretty.” Lu Qingzhuo began counting on her fingers, lowering one with each point. “Then, you’re super rich. Like, really really rich.”

After saying that, she turned her head to glance at Fu Yumian beside her. The two of them were sitting so close that if she leaned forward just a little, their lips would meet.

Fu Yumian looked at the Alpha right in front of her. Her face was reflected in those dark eyes. The next moment, she reached out and held the back of Lu Qingzhuo’s neck, closing the small gap between them.

Their lips met.

In a breathy voice, she murmured, “Go on.”

Lu Qingzhuo, lips and tongue entangled with hers, was already dazed. Her hands fumbled in front of her, like she was really about to list off more of Fu Yumian’s good qualities.

By all logic, most Omegas were physically weaker than Alphas. But for some reason, Lu Qingzhuo felt that this rule completely broke down when it came to Fu Yumian—it simply didn’t apply.

Fu Yumian had grabbed both her wrists and pushed her straight down onto the back seat. Lu Qingzhuo’s head smacked against the car window with a loud "thud", the pain bringing tears to her eyes.

“Ow! That hurts…”

A divider blocked the view of the backseat, so Han Tian, who was sitting in the passenger seat, couldn’t see what was going on—but she could feel the vibrations coming from behind.

Her expression instantly shifted to one of horror. "No way… are they really about to have car s*x in a place like this? Absolutely not! If they were going to do it in the wild, they better not be planning to kick her out of the car!"

Still two kilometers from their destination, Han Tian floored the gas pedal. The silver car surged down the road at full speed.

“Are you okay, Qingzhuo?” Fu Yumian hadn’t expected her light push to send Lu Qingzhuo toppling over like that. She thought Lu Qingzhuo would at least shove back a few times. “Let me check your head!”

“It hurts…”

Lu Qingzhuo whimpered. If she’d known something like this would lead to hitting her head, she wouldn’t have taken off her hat in the first place.

Where on earth did Fu Yumian get that kind of strength? Did Omegas become more… energized after hitting thirty? Or was this her physical peak?

Lu Qingzhuo, a twenty-two-year-old Alpha, simply couldn’t keep up.

Truth be told, the bump hadn’t hurt that much. Lu Qingzhuo was just playing it up a bit, hoping to make Fu Yumian feel sorry for her.

Back in the years when she suffered in silence, she never complained to anyone. No one had been there to listen to her struggles or her sadness. She got used to swallowing her pain whole and facing each day with a smile.

But now, with someone who would actually worry about her just from bumping her head, Lu Qingzhuo couldn’t help but tear up—even if the pain was mostly gone by now.

Fu Yumian gently rubbed Lu Qingzhuo’s head, her voice full of concern. “Let me see if it’s swollen.”

Lu Qingzhuo lowered her head, resting her body on Fu Yumian’s lap, her sharp chin pressing awkwardly between Fu Yumian’s legs.

Fu Yumian leaned over and softly brushed aside Lu Qingzhuo’s thick, black hair. After confirming there was no serious injury, she let out a sigh of relief.

“I was too hasty.”

There was a trace of guilt in her expression. But just as Lu Qingzhuo’s heart began to ache at seeing that look, Fu Yumian’s lips curled into a smile.

“Your brain’s not that great to begin with. If you hit it again, you might actually turn into an idiot.”

Lu Qingzhuo: “…”

---

The Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the manor villa. Lu Qingzhuo immediately opened the car door and got out. Han Tian stepped out from the driver’s seat and opened Fu Yumian’s door. When she saw that both women’s clothes were perfectly neat, she looked puzzled.

With the way Fu Yumian had rushed things earlier, it should’ve been a done deal in the car. So why did they now look like a pair of strangers? Did… did it not happen?

At this time of day, the manor staff were still outside clearing snow. Lu Qingzhuo was still mad about what Fu Yumian had said earlier. Call her a bad actress or not pretty enough—fine. But saying she had brain problems? Unacceptable!

“Qingzhuo! Slow down! Be careful not to fall!”

To the staff watching nearby, it looked like their CEO was chasing after her wife, doing everything she could to coax her back—but the wife just wasn’t having it. None of them had ever seen anyone dare to give Fu Yumian the cold shoulder.

But honestly, that just confirmed one thing: Fu Yumian really loved her.

Lu Qingzhuo walked into the villa. The door had already been left open. Fu Yumian followed right behind, sticking close as if truly afraid she might trip and hit her head again.

“Why are you following me?” Lu Qingzhuo snapped, crossing her arms and turning her head away so she wouldn’t have to look at Fu Yumian. “You’re cold and heartless. No matter what you say, I won’t forgive you.”

Cold? Heartless?

Fu Yumian paused for a moment, letting the words sink in. When she realized Lu Qingzhuo had used them to describe her, she couldn’t help but smile faintly.

“Don’t be mad anymore, okay? It was all my fault, alright?”

The butler quietly closed the villa door from the outside. The living room was cozy and warm. Fu Yumian began to take off her down jacket.

A staff member stepped forward to take her scarf and coat, waiting patiently. Lu Qingzhuo glanced at the worker—clearly just another hardworking employee—and decided to hold off on settling the score with Fu Yumian for now.

She handed over her own hat, scarf, and heavy coat, adding a polite, “Thank you.”

As the staff member looked up, they suddenly met Lu Qingzhuo’s shimmering peach blossom eyes—and their face instantly turned red before they scurried away.

Fu Yumian’s expression turned ice cold.

Once that Omega staff member was gone, Lu Qingzhuo leaned in toward Fu Yumian and asked, “What are you planning to do? You’re not thinking of firing her, are you?”

“You think I’m that petty?”

Fu Yumian’s tone sounded perfectly normal, but she couldn’t help feeling sour. Lu Qingzhuo finally spoke to her—and it was over a stranger? How could she not be jealous?

“Go upstairs and take a shower.”

With that, Fu Yumian turned and headed up the stairs, leaving Lu Qingzhuo wide-eyed and speechless.

What kind of attitude was that? All she did was say thank you to an Omega—since when was that a crime? And Fu Yumian was always getting mad over who knows what.

Lu Qingzhuo wasn’t familiar with this place. She hadn’t realized Fu Yumian owned this much property.

The villa had a European design, and in the grand hall stood a classic-style fireplace—perfect for a winter gathering with food and wine.

“Woof woof woof!”

A dog’s barking broke the quiet. Lu Qingzhuo turned around in surprise to see the front door open. Han Tian was holding a leash, and perched on top of her head was the black-and-white Oreo.

The moment Ye Ye saw Lu Qingzhuo, it bolted straight at her. Han Tian lost her grip and nearly got knocked over—cat and all—by the bounding Samoyed.

Lu Qingzhuo was overjoyed as she crouched down, spreading her arms to enjoy the little dog’s enthusiasm. "Han Tian? Why did you bring Ye Ye here?"

"This was President Fu’s idea." Han Tian, holding the increasingly plump cow-patterned cat, handed it to Lu Qingzhuo and said, "I think Oreo needs to lose weight. It’s been giving me neck pain."

"Yeah, it does seem a bit fat."

Lu Qingzhuo took Oreo from her. The cow-patterned cat stretched its pink paws and yawned, seemingly feeling the warmth of the room. It jumped to the floor, then curled up at Lu Qingzhuo’s feet and immediately fell asleep.

Lu Qingzhuo: "..."

She had never heard of cats going into hibernation before.

Sure enough, fat isn’t gained for nothing. In the middle of winter, it eats and sleeps, then sleeps and eats. It would be weird if it didn’t gain weight.

Lu Qingzhuo, holding Oreo, lay down on the couch. She glanced at the second floor, and after confirming that Fu Yumian had gone up to take a bath, she called Han Tian over, feeling quite sneaky.

"Han Tian, I need to ask you something, and you have to answer me truthfully."

Han Tian adjusted her glasses and smiled. "Alright, what do you want to ask?"

Lu Qingzhuo thought for a moment and then mustered the courage to ask, "I want to know, does President Fu secretly lift weights behind my back? Every time she forces me, her strength is so much that I can’t escape."

Han Tian: "..."

What a live ancestor. No wonder the two of them were a perfect match.

"President Fu's physical strength is indeed much better than most Omegas." Han Tian smiled, her lips curling into a perfect smile. "I remember that when she was in university, she was already a black belt, eighth dan, and had trained in Sanda for several years. It’s normal for her to have such strength."

"Sanda... Sanda?" Lu Qingzhuo’s eyes widened, and she asked again uncertainly, "Are you sure she’s a black belt, eighth dan, and also knows Sanda?"

Han Tian nodded. "Yes, this information is available online."

She then took out her laptop, preparing to look up the details for Lu Qingzhuo. Seeing this, Lu Qingzhuo quickly waved her hands. "No, no, no, don’t bother. I’ll look it up myself."

Han Tian put away her laptop and continued, "Do you have any other questions you need help with?"

Lu Qingzhuo thought of another one. "You told me before that Fu Yumian has obsessive-compulsive disorder, but I don’t see it at all. She even secretly drank the milk tea I had!"

Han Tian: "..."

She tightly pressed her lips together and said, "President Fu does have obsessive-compulsive disorder. But considering what you just said, her OCD must be selective. If you weren’t someone close to her, that example wouldn’t have happened."

You two have already kissed, and now you’re talking about this? Don’t give anyone a chance to breathe!

Lu Qingzhuo nodded. "Ah, so that’s how it is. Thanks for telling me."

After Han Tian left, Lu Qingzhuo also went upstairs.

As she reached the stairs, she saw the open door and thought that Fu Yumian had finished her bath. She walked forward to speak but was immediately pulled in by Fu Yumian, who had grabbed her waist.

"Ah! President Fu!"

Ye Ye and Oreo followed her into the room. Lu Qingzhuo, unable to focus on anything else, kicked the curious cat and dog out. Then, Fu Yumian pushed her down onto the sofa.

Fu Yumian had already removed her heavy clothing. Her soft arms wrapped around Lu Qingzhuo's neck as she smiled and said, "So, you’ve finished talking to Han Tian? What did you talk about?"

Lu Qingzhuo, remembering what Han Tian had said about Fu Yumian’s strength, couldn’t help but swallow nervously. She replied, "I just asked her about your recent situation. Is it not okay for me to care about you?"

"Is that so?" Fu Yumian tugged at Lu Qingzhuo’s belt, unbuckling it and pulling it down. "Now’s the time for you to care about me. Do you know how much I’ve been thinking about you these past few days?"

Half of Lu Qingzhuo’s pants were removed, and Fu Yumian looked down. She noticed that Lu Qingzhuo was wearing thick thermal pants underneath.

After removing the outer pants, Fu Yumian grabbed the thermal pants and started pulling them down. When she got halfway, her eyes widened. She almost got blinded by the red color of the thermal pants.

"Why are you wearing so many layers?"

And such an ugly red!

Lu Qingzhuo clutched the thermal pants tightly. "It’s my zodiac year this year. These were a gift from my fans. I don’t usually wear them outside, so I only wear them in winter."

"Take them off."

Fu Yumian pressed her lips together and, as if peeling off a pastry, quickly stripped Lu Qingzhuo down to the skin. She almost couldn’t resist doing it on the sofa right then.

But considering that Lu Qingzhuo hadn’t bathed in two days, Fu Yumian decided to head to the bathroom instead. After all, the bathtub was large enough for both of them.

"Mm!"

Fu Yumian parted her long legs slightly. She lowered her head to nuzzle Lu Qingzhuo's neck, and with one hand, she tried to explore downwards. However, Lu Qingzhuo effortlessly grabbed her hand.

"Wait... wait a second!"

Sweet juice burst out between her lips and tongue. Lu Qingzhuo lifted her head and met Fu Yumian's narrowed eyes.

She licked her shiny lips, sweat mixing with the taste of wine. She leaned forward to kiss Fu Yumian’s lips, actively teasing her tongue and trying to feed her the contents of her mouth.

"President Fu, you’re amazing. There’s so much water. It’s almost drowning me."

Warm bath water poured down from above, washing away the sweat on both of them.

Lu Qingzhuo and Fu Yumian embraced each other in the bathroom, face to face. Lu Qingzhuo sniffed Fu Yumian’s hair, her ears turning bright red with embarrassment.

Ahhh!

How could she so naturally say such an embarrassing thing!

Could it be that Fu Yumian had truly pushed her to this point? After all, even rabbits bite when they’re cornered.

Fu Yumian’s voice was hoarse as she wiped away the murky liquid from Lu Qingzhuo’s lips. Breathing heavily, her chest rose and fell rapidly. "Where did you learn this?"

She hadn’t expected Lu Qingzhuo to ever say such embarrassing things to her. She wasn’t sure where she’d learned it from, but it was surprisingly effective.

Lu Qingzhuo’s skills have indeed been improving, and every challenge they throw at her makes her wish she could die in Lu Qingzhuo’s arms.

But how did she get so good? Could it be that there’s another Omega involved?

Lu Qingzhuo, holding the limp Fu Yumian, walked out of the bathroom. Fu Yumian was wrapped in a bath towel, though Lu Qingzhuo hadn’t wrapped it around her. Instead, she gently placed her on the bed and tucked her in with a blanket.

"Why didn’t you help me get dressed?"

Fu Yumian’s throat was dry and hoarse, her voice almost cracking from exhaustion. Lu Qingzhuo poured a cup of warm water and added some honey. With one hand around Fu Yumian’s waist, she helped her sit up and fed her the sweet honey water.

"Why were you so fierce just now? You nearly killed me in the bathtub. What’s in it for you?"

Lu Qingzhuo remembered that Fu Yumian was a black belt in taekwondo, yet such a formidable Omega was now lying helplessly beneath her, without the strength to defend herself. A slightly wicked smile curled at the corner of her lips.

Her whole face was flushed, her heart pounding in her chest, yet her words were anything but serious.

"I should be the one praising President Fu. You were amazing earlier, managing to take everything in one go."
