Chapter 45: The Delicate Possessiveness

Lu Qingzhuo appeared slightly shy in front of the camera. She rubbed the ring on her left ring finger and smiled. “Yeah, Sister Huai, I already mentioned it just now.”

Song Huai, ever the gossip, couldn’t resist asking, “Then let me ask Miss Lu— is your wife someone from the industry or outside of it?”

Lu Qingzhuo thought about it seriously and said, “When she was younger…”

Wait, that didn’t sound quite right. Fu Yumian wasn’t that old. Lu Qingzhuo quickly corrected herself, “She spent some time in the industry a while back, but she left later on.”

“So how did you two meet?”

As a seasoned host, Song Huai was no stranger to celebrities publicly revealing that they were married. Seeing how openly Lu Qingzhuo talked about it without hiding anything, she subconsciously assumed the two must be living a very loving married life.

“We…”

Lu Qingzhuo’s mind spun for a moment—she couldn’t just make up some touching romantic tale on the spot, could she?

“Fate, I guess.” Lu Qingzhuo smiled, unable to hide the blush that crept to the corners of her mouth. She looked bashful and sweet. “Sister Huai, if you keep asking, I’m really going to be embarrassed.”

Sensing the right moment to pivot, Song Huai quickly changed the topic. “Still so young and already so successful—are you two planning on having kids anytime soon? Or maybe you already do?”

The moment the topic of kids came up, Lu Qingzhuo’s ears flushed red. The camera crew caught it right on cue. Seeing this, Lu Qingzhuo quickly set down the kitchen knife in her hand and pretended to be threatening.

“Cut that part! That footage is not allowed to air!”

Song Huai burst into laughter. Even Ye Ran had a subtle smile tugging at her lips as she lowered her head to start slicing various side ingredients. The two of them worked in perfect sync.

By the time Lin Zhiyu and Ye Shutong returned with the beer, Lu Qingzhuo had already started cooking the octopus she’d prepared. The two stood awkwardly on the sidelines—any attempts to help were quickly dismissed as clumsy, so all they could do was watch.

Ye Shutong hadn’t expected Lu Qingzhuo to be this good at cooking. She stood at the door in a daze, staring as those long fingers skillfully handled the kitchen knife, slicing ingredients with practiced ease.

Lin Zhiyu, on the other hand, was the designated dish and pot washer. Everyone was busy with something, and when Ye Shutong saw Lin Zhiyu carrying dishes, she quietly went over to help.

Seeing that Ye Shutong didn’t have anything to do, Song Huai found her a task. “Shutong, things are almost ready. Could you help set the table? We’re about to eat.”

When all the food was finally served, Lu Qingzhuo wiped the sweat from her brow, cooled off a little, and sat down with the others at the table.

No one reached for the food right away. Lu Qingzhuo glanced around and asked, “Where’s Miss Fu?”

Hearing the title “Miss Fu” wasn’t anything unusual—unless it was coming from Lu Qingzhuo herself. Her ears were tinged pink, though the loose strands of hair falling over them covered it up.

Lu Qingzhuo volunteered, “I’ll go call her to dinner.”

All eyes followed her as she headed to Fu Yumian’s door and knocked.

“Miss Fu? Are you there? It’s dinner time.”

After two knocks with no response, she was about to knock a third time when the door suddenly swung open from the inside. A slender hand grabbed her wrist and yanked her in.

The PD following her was left outside. Inside, Lu Qingzhuo was immediately pinned against the door. Fu Yumian’s hand slipped around her waist, and in one smooth move, she captured Lu Qingzhuo’s lips.

“Mm… wait, wait…”

While kissing Fu Yumian, Lu Qingzhuo kept her head down, her mind racing—Did they put a camera in this room?

Her eyes darted around, scanning the space, but Fu Yumian chuckled and said, “Don’t bother. There’s no camera in here. Plus, the room’s soundproof. No one outside can hear us.”

Lu Qingzhuo: “…”

That… kind of made it sound like she was planning to do something indecent right then and there.

But knowing Fu Yumian and her unpredictability, Lu Qingzhuo couldn’t completely rule it out. The woman had a wild streak. The scariest part was never knowing what she’d do next.

“Everyone’s waiting for you to come eat. Just one kiss, okay?” Lu Qingzhuo cupped Fu Yumian’s face and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. As she pulled away, she even gave her chin a little lick. “Happy now?”

“You just called me Miss Fu?” Fu Yumian’s eyes gleamed with amusement, her lips curling into a smirk. “Remember to come sleep in Miss Fu’s room tonight.”

“…”

Ever since she started spending every waking moment tangled up with Fu Yumian, Lu Qingzhuo had learned that whenever Fu Yumian gave her that mischievous smile, it meant she was definitely up to no good.

No surprise there—this old rascal Fu Yumian. Lu Qingzhuo had well and truly fallen for her.

The two walked out together, and everyone at the table looked toward them. Song Huai’s gaze landed on their hands, noticing the matching silver rings that caught the light, making her eyes clear in an instant.

Used to be in the entertainment industry but left years ago… That could only be Fu Yumian.

Song Huai had interviewed her about ten years ago, right when Fu Yumian was rising to fame—long before anyone imagined she’d one day become the chairwoman of the Fu Group.

When their eyes met, Fu Yumian gave her a polite nod.

Song Huai poured a glass of chilled beer and set it in front of Fu Yumian with a smile. “President Fu, it’s been so long. I hope you’ve been well.”

“It’s been about ten years,” Fu Yumian replied, still remembering that interview. Song Huai had always been smart and tactful, never prying too deeply into anyone’s private life. “Are you still hosting shows, Miss Song?”

Song Huai chuckled, raising her glass. “These last couple of years, I’m starting to feel my age.”

The six of them clinked glasses. Lu Qingzhuo watched as Fu Yumian calmly downed half a glass of beer, then leaned over to whisper, “President Fu, if I remember correctly, you’re not great with alcohol, are you?”

Lu Qingzhuo had already been dropping hints left and right—she clearly didn’t want Fu Yumian drinking too much. After all, her tolerance wasn’t great. Just a few glasses of wine last time had knocked her out cold.

“Low tolerance?” Song Huai seemed to find that amusing and suddenly recalled an interview from ten years ago. She couldn’t help but laugh. “Qingzhuo, who told you President Fu has a low alcohol tolerance?”

“Huh?” Lu Qingzhuo blinked in surprise at Song Huai’s words, then turned to Fu Yumian and explained, “I read it on a gossip blog.”

“Those gossip blogs are nothing but trouble.” Song Huai appeared to be digging through her memories from a decade ago. “I remember after wrapping up that movie, I interviewed you. You said you’d just come from a cocktail party. Your face wasn’t even flushed, your voice was steady, and you claimed your alcohol tolerance was amazing.”

Song Huai blinked, then added, “Could it be that in the past ten years, President Fu’s tolerance has dropped?”

Fu Yumian didn’t respond, but Lu Qingzhuo suddenly had a revelation.

No wonder that time Shen Shijun got drunk, Shen Shijun told her not to worry and mentioned that Fu Yumian actually had a high tolerance and needed to drink more. But every time Fu Yumian had a few drinks, she’d act all tipsy and dazed.

Everything suddenly made perfect sense. Lu Qingzhuo glanced at Fu Yumian—only to find her looking right back—then quickly turned away and picked up some food with her chopsticks.

After dinner, Ye Ran suggested they all take a walk along the beach.

Lu Qingzhuo, saying she smelled like cooking oil, decided to stay behind and take a shower at the villa. Everyone else went to the beach—except for Fu Yumian.

---

“You liar!”

Lu Qingzhuo bit down hard on Fu Yumian’s collarbone, refusing to let go. Her voice was thick with emotion, maybe from the alcohol. Her cheeks and nose were tinged with a soft blush, making her look pitiful and aggrieved.

“You said you had a low tolerance! And every time, you pretend to be drunk so I’ll carry you!”

Fu Yumian was pressed against the bathroom door, her eyes slightly red, as if her heart had just taken a hit.

“Alright, don’t be mad.” A smile tugged at Fu Yumian’s lips as she planted a soft kiss on Lu Qingzhuo’s forehead, then brushed down her nose and lips before giving a playful bite to her chin. “It’s my fault, okay?”

“It is your fault.” Lu Qingzhuo’s mind was in complete chaos. Fu Yumian was coaxing her with that sweet voice, and with a bit of wine clouding her thoughts, she couldn’t think straight. “You’re always bullying me!”

“Okay, okay, all my fault.” Fu Yumian nuzzled into her arms, her hand slipping to Lu Qingzhuo’s waistband, gently caressing the soft skin underneath as she gave in easily. “Since it’s all my fault, how about you punish me properly tonight?”

Lu Qingzhuo quickly looked away and muttered, “In the end, I’m still the one who ends up exhausted…”

Fu Yumian chuckled softly at that. “Fine, then I’ll do all the work tonight. You just lie on the bed. How’s that?”

“No way!”

Lu Qingzhuo instinctively glanced up and around, only to hear Fu Yumian say with a laugh, “Don’t worry, there aren’t any cameras in my room. We can do whatever we want, anywhere we want.”

“…”

Lu Qingzhuo’s face turned so red it looked like it might start dripping blood. She bit her lip and protested, “We’re filming a variety show right now. There are too many people around—it’s not convenient. Can’t you hold back a little…”

Fu Yumian took Lu Qingzhuo’s hand and guided it over her own body with a sigh. “No one will know. Our rooms are connected—there’s a door in between that we can open anytime.”

Lu Qingzhuo: “!!!”

She never would’ve imagined that Fu Yumian had gone so far as to install a connecting door just so they could be together whenever she wanted.

Fu Yumian kissed her while slipping off her shirt, a satisfied look on her face. “So? Do you like it? Now we can be together anytime, anywhere.”

Lu Qingzhuo was speechless. Fu Yumian continued kissing her while gently leading her toward the door, turning the knob.

With just a glance, Lu Qingzhuo saw it clearly.

The door connected their two bedrooms. The surveillance camera that had recently been installed in her room had been removed—clearly Fu Yumian’s doing.

“See? No one will find out.”

Fu Yumian had never been this patient before, all for the sake of her Alpha. She just wanted to make her happy.

If Lu Qingzhuo liked filming, she’d invest in it. If she wanted to be on a variety show, she’d buy the rights just so she could have fun.

As long as it was something Lu Qingzhuo wanted, Fu Yumian would make it happen. Otherwise, what was the point of earning so much money?

---

“Let’s shower first.”

Lu Qingzhuo was completely stunned by how far Fu Yumian had gone. She swallowed hard, overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of the other woman’s possessiveness—it was making her skin crawl in the most uncomfortable way.

Fu Yumian, oblivious to Lu Qingzhuo’s unease, pulled her into the bathtub. With her long legs hooked around Lu Qingzhuo’s waist, she climbed into her lap.

“You’ve been busy all day—cooked so many dishes for everyone. Aren’t you tired?”

Fu Yumian gently kneaded Lu Qingzhuo’s arm in a clumsy attempt at a massage, but her jealous tone was practically overflowing.

Lu Qingzhuo nearly choked on the bitterness in the air. She licked her lips, still tasting Fu Yumian on them, and grabbed her wrist.

“President Fu, I’m not tired. I actually had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve had this kind of group activity.”

Fu Yumian immediately asked, “So was it more fun with them, or more fun with me?”

“Of course, I’m happiest with you.” Lu Qingzhuo lay against Fu Yumian’s chest, wrapping her arms around her waist, rubbing against her like a spoiled kitten. “You’re still the best.”

Fu Yumian looked down at the Alpha nestled in her arms, wishing she could present her with the most dazzling, beautiful gem in the world—keep her close, cherished like a precious keepsake she could carry with her always.

"This is what you said." Fu Yumian's voice was raspy and unbearable, her eyes heavy with desire as she gripped the back of Lu Qingzhuo’s neck, fingers gently caressing the faintly warm gland there. "Tell me—am I your favorite person?"

Lu Qingzhuo had already grown used to Fu Yumian touching the back of her neck. Even though she knew an alpha’s most vulnerable spot was their gland, she also knew Fu Yumian would never hurt her. On the contrary, she only ever kissed and traced that sweet spot with soft lips and tongue.

Lifting her head, Lu Qingzhuo’s voice trembled under Fu Yumian’s teasing fingers. She leaned against her and murmured, "Mhm, you're my favorite person right now."

Fu Yumian paused. "Right now?"

"Yeah, right now you’re my favorite."

No one could predict the future. The most unstable thing in the world was change. Lu Qingzhuo, timid by nature, didn’t dare make promises lightly. So she simply snuggled into Fu Yumian’s chest, playing coy to brush the topic aside.

"Remember this—you can only like me." A dark, unreadable greed flickered in Fu Yumian’s gaze as she tightened her arms around Lu Qingzhuo’s waist, her voice low and hoarse. "If I ever find out you’ve fallen for someone else, I’ll break your legs, lock you up, and keep you by my side forever."

Lu Qingzhuo pouted and shifted uncomfortably, muttering to herself that Fu Yumian had definitely read too many yandere novels. Had she secretly bound herself to some kind of yandere system?

The possessiveness was one thing, but Lu Qingzhuo figured Fu Yumian's twisted thoughts probably stemmed from her upbringing. It was understandable.

Still, the yandere attitude was a bit scary. Lu Qingzhuo just treated her words like a joke.

In one ear and out the other—nothing to take seriously.

But a long, long time later, when Lu Qingzhuo was trapped on a deserted island, endlessly entangled with and demanded from by an omega day and night, she’d look back on this moment. She’d remember how she never took any of it seriously, always brushed off Fu Yumian’s words as playful threats.

She’d regret not leaving right then and there.

---

By the time the others returned, Lu Qingzhuo had already showered and was sitting on the couch. The back of her neck was faintly red and swollen, but her loose hair concealed it, making everything look perfectly normal.

She had scrubbed her skin with body wash repeatedly to erase any trace of pheromones, leaving no detectable scent behind.

Lin Zhiyu was the first to speak up. "Qingzhuo, done with your shower? Let’s play poker."

Ye Shutong had already warmed up to Lin Zhiyu in just one afternoon. She chimed in, "But there are six of us. One deck won’t be enough."

Ye Ran offered, "You guys go ahead. I’ll take a shower first and join you later."

Once Ye Ran left, Song Huai sat beside Lin Zhiyu. Seeing Lu Qingzhuo opening the deck, she proposed, "I’ll watch the cards and stay quiet, but what happens if someone loses?"

"If someone loses…" Lu Qingzhuo paused, realizing playing for money wasn’t practical. After a moment, she suggested, "Then the winner gets to assign a dare—or a truth."

Lin Zhiyu scratched her head. "Why not just play for money?"

As she spoke, Lu Qingzhuo had already finished shuffling and started dealing the cards to the three of them. She couldn't help but say, "It’s hard to explain with your level of intelligence."

Lin Zhiyu looked wounded as she held her cards. "Hey, I studied abroad in Country D! Give me some credit!"

"Country D?" Ye Shutong, holding her cards, paused in surprise. "Zhiyu, you’re that impressive? I heard it’s really hard to earn a degree there—even passing the exams is tough."

Lu Qingzhuo replied offhandedly, "Back when she was studying abroad, she used to call me every day just to complain. I was this close to blocking her."

Lu Qingzhuo was the landlord this round. Her luck was pretty good—she drew both jokers. But after sorting her hand from highest to lowest, she realized there wasn’t a single straight.

Scattered cards. Even with the jokers, it was a lost cause.

Song Huai watched as the spark in Lu Qingzhuo’s eyes faded. She peeked over at her hand and thought: "Wow, that’s next-level bad luck."

Other than the two jokers, Lu Qingzhuo couldn’t even play a simple pair of tens.

After throwing down her "joker bomb," she had nothing but trash left.

Lin Zhiyu played a pair of threes with a smile. Lu Qingzhuo looked at her miserable hand and placed her cards face-down on her lap. "Can’t beat that," she said coolly.

In the end, when Lin Zhiyu played her last card, Lu Qingzhuo was still holding a two and a three.

"Can’t believe I won the first round!"

Lin Zhiyu immediately snapped a photo and posted it to Weibo. After a few quick edits, Lu Qingzhuo put her phone away, smiling. "A bet’s a bet. Truth or dare?"

Lu Qingzhuo reshuffled the cards. "Truth is boring—let’s just do dares."

By that time, Ye Ran had finished her shower. She came out in her pajamas and sat beside Song Huai. "Who won?"

Lin Zhiyu flashed a peace sign at the camera. "Of course it was me! Qingzhuo lost and she’s doing a dare."

Ye Ran glanced at Lu Qingzhuo. Seeing the faint smile at the corner of her lips, her mood instantly lifted.

Lin Zhiyu ran outside and returned with a glass bottle, which she cleaned and placed on the table.

"Whoever the bottle points to—you have to pick her up, spin around three times, and tell her: "I like you."

Everyone was stunned. Song Huai smacked Lin Zhiyu lightly. "You alphas sure know how to play."

Lu Qingzhuo readily agreed. She bowed her head and began spinning the bottle. As the clear glass rotated, it caught the light and bloomed like a deep green flower.

The bottle slowly came to a stop, pointing toward the first-floor hallway.

And in the very next second, a tall figure appeared at the end of the hall, slowly walking toward them.

Lu Qingzhuo: "..."

Everyone’s gaze landed on the approaching figure. Lu Qingzhuo stood up and met eyes with Fu Yumian, who walked over with a slight look of confusion on her face.

“President Fu!”

“The bottle pointed to President Fu!”

Fu Yumian was still out of the loop. She was holding a small cake she had just bought, intending to share it with everyone. But before she could react, a few people had already surrounded her.

“What are you all playing?”

Sitting on the floor, Lin Zhiyu winked at Lu Qingzhuo as if to ask, "Why are you still standing there?"

“President Fu, Qingzhuo just lost at Dou Dizhu and has to do a truth or dare. She picked ‘dare.’”

“Dare?” Fu Yumian’s lips curled. “And what does that have to do with me?”

Ye Shutong finally managed to grab the mic. “We spun a bottle, and whoever it pointed to—Qingzhuo has to pick them up, spin them around, and make a heartfelt confession!”

Lu Qingzhuo looked awkwardly at Fu Yumian, took the small cake from her hands, and apologized, her face full of embarrassment. “Sorry, President Fu… it’s just a game. Would you mind if I… picked you up… and spun you around…?”

By the time she reached the end of her sentence—with a crowd watching—Lu Qingzhuo’s face had flushed pink, clearly embarrassed.

Fu Yumian crossed her arms, seemingly intrigued by this kind of game. She asked, “Is spinning around all there is to it?”

“There’s also… a love confession,” Lu Qingzhuo murmured, pressing her lips together. “I have to say… ‘I like you.’”

“Ooooh~”

A chorus of teasing voices erupted around them. Even Lin Zhiyu hadn’t expected the bottle to actually land on Fu Yumian. She’d just wanted to stir the pot and maybe make Fu Yumian a little jealous—but instead, the game had hit the bullseye.

Fu Yumian lowered her hand, her expression calm and composed. “Go ahead.”

“Sorry about this, President Fu.”

Lu Qingzhuo apologized again, then rested one arm around Fu Yumian’s shoulders, gently bent down, and scooped her up in a bridal carry. Holding that position, she effortlessly spun them around three times.

Lin Zhiyu counted with a grin, “One spin, two spins, three spins.”

“Quick! Confess!” Ye Shutong urged excitedly. “Lu Qingzhuo, say you like her!”

Song Huai chimed in, “Say it confidently!”

“I... I…” The words burned on her tongue. Lu Qingzhuo felt like she was about to boil over like a kettle. Finally, she mustered the courage: “I like you.”

Fu Yumian’s smile never faltered, her gaze soft and unwavering as she looked at Lu Qingzhuo.

Song Huai wore a knowing expression, while Ye Ran’s remained neutral.

As for Lin Zhiyu and Ye Shutong, they were just enthusiastic bystanders soaking up the drama, whispering gleefully, “We’re shipping this hard.”

The first round of Dou Dizhu ended, and as the loser, Lu Qingzhuo had to shuffle and deal cards for the other three.

After dealing, she started nibbling on the cake, unaware that Fu Yumian had been quietly watching her every move from behind.

Once the game ended, they tidied up and said goodnight before heading to their own rooms.

Lu Qingzhuo turned off the living room lights and followed Fu Yumian back. As she passed Fu Yumian’s door, she put on a deliberately casual tone.

“Goodnight, President Fu.”

The bedrooms were connected. After entering her room, Lu Qingzhuo locked the door from the inside. Then, she moved to the connecting door between the two rooms and, with determination, locked that one as well.

After locking it, she wiped nonexistent sweat from her brow, feeling relieved, and was just about to lie down when a hand suddenly grabbed the back of her neck.

“What are you doing?”

Fu Yumian’s voice echoed like a ghost’s. Lu Qingzhuo froze mid-movement and awkwardly unlocked the door again.

“President Fu, I was just… checking if the lock works. Making sure it’s not broken.”

“Really?” Fu Yumian’s right hand cupped Lu Qingzhuo’s elegant neck, pulling her closer. With a smile tugging at her lips, she said, “No need to open it. I’ll be sleeping in your room tonight.”

“President Fu, my bed is a bit…”

Lu Qingzhuo glanced at the bed. It was easily three meters wide. She immediately backtracked. “You can sleep wherever you like. I’ll just go sleep in your room, then—”

“Lu Qingzhuo, was that game fun today?” Fu Yumian ignored the excuse and began addressing things one by one. “If I hadn’t shown up, who were you going to confess to?”

Lu Qingzhuo’s eyes widened. “President Fu, it was just a game!”

Fu Yumian hooked her arm around Lu Qingzhuo’s neck. Seeing the shift in her expression, she realized she’d pushed too hard, so she gently brushed her lips against Lu Qingzhuo’s.

“I know it was just a game. But why didn’t you pick ‘truth’ instead of ‘dare’?”

“Truth isn’t as fun.”

Lu Qingzhuo honestly didn’t know why she’d impulsively picked dare at that moment. She’d thought Lin Zhiyu wouldn’t mess with her—but she’d clearly underestimated her. And of all people, it had to be Fu Yumian the bottle pointed to.

If it had been someone else, maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad. But when that damned bottle turned to Fu Yumian, Lu Qingzhuo couldn’t help but shiver.

“Remember, you’re my alpha now.” Fu Yumian captured Lu Qingzhuo’s lips, her tongue teasing the soft center as she murmured, “If I ever see you getting physical with anyone else, just wait and see how I’ll punish you.”

Lu Qingzhuo parted her lips obediently, her tongue chasing Fu Yumian’s. One hand slid to her waist as she mumbled, “Not even with an omega?”

Fu Yumian gave her a playful bite on the tongue—a light warning. “Not even an alpha.”

The kisses deepened until Fu Yumian gently pushed Lu Qingzhuo down onto the bed. Lu Qingzhuo had already brewed a cup of goji berry tea, took a few sips, then brought the glass to Fu Yumian’s lips.

“President Fu, take a sip. It’s good for your kidneys.”

Fu Yumian teased, “Where did you hear that drinking goji berry tea is good for your kidneys?”

Lu Qingzhuo actually stuttered a little. “Isn’t that… isn’t that what people always say?”

Fu Yumian held Lu Qingzhuo’s wrist and drank the sweet goji tea directly from her hand. With a smile tugging at her lips, she said, “You know, goji berries have a stimulating effect. The more you drink, the stronger your libido gets. Got it now?”

“Huh?”

Startled, Lu Qingzhuo quickly set the cup of deep red goji tea aside. Thankfully, she’d only taken one sip—any more, and tonight might’ve gotten completely out of hand.

She genuinely hadn’t known goji berries had that kind of effect—and she’d thrown in a generous handful. Now she was reaping what she’d sown.

When Fu Yumian saw her place the cup on the nightstand, she climbed onto Lu Qingzhuo’s lap, nuzzling her thigh, and asked, “What are you doing?”

Lu Qingzhuo blushed furiously, nearly dying of embarrassment. “Didn’t you just say it boosts... desire or something? I’m not drinking any more, okay?”

“But you brewed it.”

Fu Yumian picked up the glass and drank half of it, leaving a thick layer of goji berries settled at the bottom.

“Hurry up and finish the rest,” she said, holding the glass in one hand and gripping the back of Lu Qingzhuo’s neck with the other. She pressed the rim of the glass against Lu Qingzhuo’s lips. “Don’t waste the berries. Eat them all.”

Helpless, Lu Qingzhuo opened her mouth and let Fu Yumian feed her every last berry. The reddish liquid dripped down her chin and onto her collarbone.

Fu Yumian wiped away the stray drop of “essence” with her fingertip, smeared it on the corner of her own mouth, and then eagerly kissed Lu Qingzhuo.

Afterward, Lu Qingzhuo pretended to be busy, taking the glass into the bathroom to wash it thoroughly.

She felt too awkward to walk back out like nothing had happened, so she grabbed a tissue and wiped the outside of the glass as well. Only after drying it completely did she set it aside.

Still flustered, she locked the bathroom door, sat on the toilet seat, and covered her face in despair.

When exactly had her relationship with Fu Yumian turned into this?

Lu Qingzhuo couldn’t even remember when things had shifted. Somewhere along the way, everything between them had changed. Fu Yumian had become like a completely different person, constantly draining her in every way.

She’d never dated an omega before, so she had no idea if all omegas were like this.

Lu Qingzhuo splashed cold water on her face to clear her head. That goji tea seemed to have done absolutely nothing.

When she returned and climbed into bed, Fu Yumian wrapped herself around her and pinned her down again.

“Did it work?”

Fu Yumian’s voice sounded huskier than before. She pressed on Lu Qingzhuo’s lower abdomen, as if trying to squeeze something out of her.

Lu Qingzhuo gritted her teeth, trying to hold out just a little longer—but within two seconds, she surrendered completely.

Fu Yumian frowned when she didn’t get the expected reaction. “Why isn’t it working? Don’t tell me the berries were expired. I’ll ask Qin Zhen to find me a secret recipe next time. We can try—”

“Mmmph...”

Lu Qingzhuo silenced her with a kiss, unable to endure any more of Fu Yumian’s teasing. She was already blushing furiously, her whole body burning from the overwhelming stimulation. This was the only way she could shut her up.

“Fu Yumian… stop talking…”

Lu Qingzhuo’s eyes were red. She’d never imagined Fu Yumian would be this kind of omega. Forced to down a bunch of goji berries, she was now mortified and flustered, feeling heat pool low in her abdomen.

“Is it working now?” Fu Yumian took Lu Qingzhuo’s hand into her mouth, wetting her three fingers one by one, left to right. “Touch me.”

Fu Yumian guided Lu Qingzhuo’s hand downward. Even though this wasn’t their first time, Lu Qingzhuo still wasn’t used to being stared at with such a raw, seductive gaze from an omega.

“No more of that slow and gentle stuff this time,” Fu Yumian said, lightly biting the soft pad of Lu Qingzhuo’s fingertip. “Put all three in at once.”
